Tommy D. Pope Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Tommy D. Pope celebrates seven years of service to the United States of America.

Atlanta, GA, August 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tommy D. Pope, a sergeant in the Army National Guard, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in service to his community and to his country.

With seven years of experience in Food Service Management with the United States Army and the Army National Guard, Tommy D. Pope is responsible for improving the morale of other soldiers. Sergeant Pope served in the United States Army for four years and volunteered for the Food Service Branch of the Quartermaster Corps, where he catered to field sites and special events hosted by the U.S. Army. While serving in the U.S. Army, he was deployed to Iraq from August 2005 until November 2006, where he performed security details, convoy support operations, and field services.

After completing the active duty segment of his contract with the U.S. Army, he joined the Army National Guard and returned to his hometown, Columbus, GA, where he serves his community as a police officer. Mr. Pope was called back to service with his Army National Guard unit and was deployed to Afghanistan from June 2009 until May 2010, where he performed security details, convoy support operations, and engineer support operations.

Mr. Pope plans to continue his service to his community and his country as a member of the Army National Guard and as a police officer. Looking to the future, he plans to expand his service within his community by becoming a business owner and an active community leader.

Mr. Pope holds an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College, and holds the Food Service Certifications of Certified Food Manager and Certified Food Executive, through the International Food Service Executives Association. He is a member of the Robert Morris Society, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).
