Glenda E. Crooks honored for her service by Delaware's Department of Labor with a Counselor of the Year Award
WILMINGTON, DE, September 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Glenda E. Crooks, Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Delaware, Department of Labor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Born and raised in Guatemala, Glenda E. Crooks came to the United States as a teenager to obtain an education and realize her goals. Ms. Crooks worked several years as a Social Worker before working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Currently at the State of Delaware, Department of Labor, she assists individuals with disabilities to re-enter the work force. She manages assessments and referrals for Vocational Training, College and Work Programs. A bilingual professional, Ms. Crooks is able to serve both English and Spanish speaking communities. She attributes her success to her determination, empathy and career passions.
In 2002, Ms. Crooks graduated from The George Washington University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development. She has been honored for her service by Delaware's Department of Labor with a Counselor of the Year Award. Ms. Crooks hopes to establish her own English - Spanish Translation and Interpreting Services business.
