Mary Ann Cannon Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Community Outreach Management

HERNDON, VA, November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Ann Cannon, Director of Community Outreach for Congressman Frank Wolf, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in community outreach management.

As the Director of Community Outreach for Congressman Frank Wolf, Ms. Cannon works closely with the Congressman, engaging the community on issues championed by Congressman Wolf and raising awareness of community and constituent concerns for the Congressman's attention. She became involved in her profession initially as volunteer coordinator on Congressman Wolf's Campaigns, then as the Northern Virginia Field Director for Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, which led to her current position as a congressional staffer. She attributes her success to her listening and people skills, and her passion for building coalitions.

Ms. Cannon received a Bachelor's degree in computer graphics and business from George Mason University in 1994. She is a Notary in the Commonwealth of Virginia; a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and an executive board member of the Missions Committee at Gateway Community Church. Ms. Cannon intends to continue in her current position and eventually work building partnerships to raise awareness and assist victims of human rights infractions and human trafficking and collaborate with other organizations and governments to improve economic development in impoverished countries and communities.
