Ms. O'Brian celebrates 24 years as a distinguished family lawyer and president of her firm

REDMOND, WA, September 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan M. O'Brian, President of the Law Offices of Susan Millican O'Brian and Associates, P.S., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in family law.

With almost 25 years of experience as a family law attorney, Ms. O'Brian continues to share her knowledge and experience in working with clients and mentoring her two Associate Attorneys. As President of the firm, she also manages all aspects of the firm, including but not limited to the finances, marketing and advertising efforts, and representing clients in the collaborative law format. Her passion is assisting "unbundled" pro se clients. Ms. O'Brian was a sole proprietor prior to incorporating in 2004. She also previously taught a family law class in the Paralegal Program at Edmonds Community College. She practices exclusively in the area of family law.

Ms. O'Brian earned a JD from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (n/k/a Seattle University School of Law) in 1986. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1982. With a lifelong passion for the law, she began her career as a legal secretary and a paralegal before returning to school and obtaining her Bachelor's and JD degrees. Ms. O'Brian holds memberships to the American Bar Association, Family Law and Law Office Management Sections; the Washington State Bar Association, Family Law and Law Office Management Sections; the King County Bar Association and Family Law Section; the East King County Bar Association and Family Law Section; the Snohomish County Bar Association and Family Law Section; King County Collaborative Law; and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
