Enrique Alanis Named a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Enterprise Risk Management

This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Since the turn of the century, Mr. Alanis has progressively proven his skills as a high-level executive while honing his expertise in enterprise risk management, strategic and competitive intelligence, creation and implementation of IT platforms, business continuity, antitrust compliance and counterintelligence. He has utilized his business acumen to make lucrative decisions and plans, direct motivated teams, manage budgets worth up to $1 million, and initiate a multitude of intelligence units. Mr. Alanis has consulted several international government and private companies throughout the course of his career. Skilled in public speaking, he has successfully conducted lectures on intelligence and ethics.
In 2002, Mr. Alanis joined CEMEX USA, a leading global building materials company, as an analyst. He has since advanced to assume the position of director of enterprise risk management, a role in which he is responsible for the establishment of the risk management area for operations in the U.S. Mr. Alanis heads data gathering and analysis concerning industry, competitors, domestic and international politics, and social conditions. He reports on risks and opportunities to the company's chief executive officer, executive vice presidents and top management. His expert-level foresight is utilized to devise profitable plans and tools.

Mr. Alanis has been well-trained in his field, earning several degrees and diplomas while working full time. He holds a diploma in the CX International Management Program, a diploma in national security from UANL, a diploma in strategic intelligence administration and development from ITESM, and a diploma in competitive intelligence professional from the Academy of Competitive Intelligence. In addition he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, followed with a Master of Science in e-commerce, both from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Most recently, in 2011, he earned a Master of Arts in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Holding certification from the Academy of Competitive Intelligence, Mr. Alanis is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals. He is also affiliated with the Corporación Mexicana de Investigación en Materiales, S.A. de C.V., also known as COMIMSA, serving as secretary of the Executive Board's Productivity Evaluation Committee. Furthermore, Mr. Alanis is the founder of the NGO Mexico Sin Corrupcion, which strives to increase education on ethics, principles, and the root cause of issues in Mexico, as well as advocate honesty and transparency in the country to create society solutions.
